France salutes Macedonia's EU perspective and
desires name talks to result in acceptable solution for both sides, French
Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bernard Valero said, before meeting with Macedonian
Deputy PM for EU integration Vasko Naumovski.
"We want name talks between Athens and Skopje, under UN auspices to find an acceptable solution
for both sides, which will allow Skopje
to speed up its EU integration", Spokesman said.
"France is confident
that Skopje's progress towards EU will
strengthen the European perspective of the region and welcomes the border
agreement between Skopje
and Prisitna", Spokesman added.
Deputy PM for EU integration Vasko Naumovski, who is visiting France at the
moment, will meet the State Secretary for European affairs of France, Pierre
Lellouche.
Naumovski is scheduled to meet Philippe Duron, French MP and Head of the group
for Macedonian-French friendship as well as Valero.
