Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski pays Thursday a visit to the Republic of Ireland, MIA reports from Dublin.

PM Gruevski is scheduled to meet with Irish counterpart Brian Cowen, President Mary McAleese, House of Representatives Chairman Seamus Kirk and Senate Speaker Pat Moylan.

Moreover, Gruevski will deliver an address at the Institute of International and European Affairs.

Macedonia and Ireland established diplomatic relations in 1994. The Macedonian Government submitted the application for European Union membership during the Irish EU Presidency in 2004.
