Croatia's gross domestic product contracted by 5.8 percent in the third quarter from the same period a year earlier, the country's statistics office said.
Official figures show the pace of GDP contraction eased from the previous two quarters.
The GDP fell 6.7 percent in the first quarter of 2009 compared with Q1 in 2008, and the GDP contraction in Q2 was 6.3 percent.
