According to sources, Macedonian officials will be given recognition for establishing a National Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction, which placed Macedonia among 11th European countries, implementing this strategy.
During his first day, Briceno will meet Macedonia’s President Gjorgje Ivanov and will also visit the office of UN Resident Coordinator in Skopje.
The following day, UN delegation will visit UNDP office in Skopje, and will meet Deputy Prime Minister Vladimir Pesevski.
UN delegation in the Crisis Management Centre will meet with Head of the Boarding Committee and Interior Minister Gordana Jankulovska and CMC Director Pande Lazarevski. After the meetings the delegation will join the meeting with representatives of the National Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction.
