UNICEF study on multiculturalism in Macedonia |

The
United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) will launch a study on multiculturalism
and inter-ethnic relations in education in Macedonia on Tuesday.
At the launch, Vice Prime Minster, Mr. Abdilaqim Ademi, Minister of Education
and Science, Mr. Nikola Todorov, and, UNICEF Representative, Mr. Sheldon Yett
will provide key note addresses.
The study is based on field research on perceptions among students, teachers
and parents, and a review of the relevant laws and policies, the study provides
an analysis of the mechanisms within the education system to foster respect,
tolerance and acceptance among Macedonian and Albanian ethnic communities.
