Ministry of Labor and Social Policy and pensioners are expected on Monday to strike a deal on the criteria for pensioners eligible for one-week cost-free holiday in spas.
Minister of Labor and Social Policy Xhelal Bajrami and representatives of pensioners' associations are expected to attend today's meeting.
The novelty foresees that the state covers expenses for transport, accommodation and medical check-ups during the one-week stay in spas. The novelty will be implemented as of next year.
Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski said the novelty aims to help the retired citizens, particularly those with low pensions, and also boost spa tourism in Macedonia and assist the spas amid severe financial problems.
