Two gunmen carrying masks on their faces stormed Simona DOOEL exchange office in Skopje's municipality of Karpos on Monday and stole 10.000 euros, police said.
Interior Ministry says the robbery took place shortly after 9 a.m. The two broke into the office shortly after the owner (37) entered the premises and was about to start working.
The assailants attacked the owner, heating him in the head. The robbers took the money and fled the area.
Some residents witnessed the heist. The witnesses said it was first such a robbery in the neighborhood, just 100 meters off Karpos police station. Neighbors say the owner has been working at the exchange office for 10 years.
